Nicotine FAQUpdated 11 hours ago

Quick answer: Our DIY liquid nicotine is 99.9% pure, available in a PG or VG base, in both freebase and salt nicotine. It ships at 100mg/ml and must be diluted — it is not for direct vaping.

What it is

This is concentrated nicotine for mixing your own e-juice, not a ready-to-vape product. You choose a base — Propylene Glycol (PG) or Vegetable Glycerin (VG) — and whether you want freebase or salt nicotine. The nicotine itself is the same 99.9% purity either way; the base and type just match your recipe.

PG vs. VG base

  • PG base: better flavor carrier, more noticeable throat hit.
  • VG base: thicker, smoother inhale, more vapor.

Freebase vs. salt nicotine

Freebase is the traditional form. Salt nicotine mixes smoother at higher strengths and is generally used in pod-style or lower-wattage setups. See our salt nicotine breakdown for more on when each makes sense.

Dilution is mandatory

This nicotine comes in at 100mg/ml — far too concentrated to vape as-is. It's meant to be mixed with PG, VG, and flavor concentrate. We recommend keeping your final mixed e-juice at 24mg/ml or lower. Use our free e-juice calculator to get your dilution math right instead of eyeballing it.

Color variation is normal

Liquid nicotine can range from nearly clear to light tan, even fresh out of the bottle. That's a normal, expected variation, not a quality issue. Keeping it in the fridge helps it stay fresher longer. More detail in our color-change explainer.

Handle with care

Work with concentrated nicotine in a ventilated space, and keep it well out of reach of children and pets.
